The 2007/08 Floorball season was to be a milestone in the development of Floorball in Australia .

With the introduction of an interstate competition for NSW/ACT and possibly QLD, the eastern states took the first step towards a national competition.

In it’s first year the Salming Eastern Elite Series was played in a format that kept travel times and cost to a manageable minimum, with teams getting together for monthly mini-tournaments where they played 2-3 games on the day.
