Semi-Final loss at the AFO '11
Glebe FBC wasn't able to defend the Australian Open title from 2010. After six convincing wins, a replay of last years Grand Final was due in the Semi with Storybridge finishing on top this time after a 3-2 win in Sudden Death!
It was a well organised and well played tournament where we showed that Glebe FBC is still one of the top teams in Australia and THE team that all other teams want to beat!

Three out of three!
It's been a great year and what better way than to finish the season off with another win and another trophy!
It wasn't easy though, we suffered a few unexpected losses during the season and had a few other games where we would have prefered a better result but finally we were once again in the Grand Final, and yet again vs the Northern Beaches.
The game was tough and even as always with the Stingrays managing to level the score to 3-3 and forcing penalty shootout after playing 6-5 without goalie and scoring 40 seconds from the end.
In the shootouts there was never any doubt, the Northern Beaches had 4 penalty shots in total and Chris saved them all!

For the second year in a row Glebe is once again victorious in the Northern Beaches Open after a great final win over the hosting team, the Northern Beaches Stingrays, with a margin of 6-1.
We went through the tournament unbeated with 7 wins from 7 games. The teams on our way to the final were; Sydney Blue Tongues, Canberra Chargers, Gong Scorpions, Newcastle Cobras, Bondi Raptors and the Blue Tongues once again in the Semi-final.
Another great team effort, specially as this is almost a completely different team from the one that won the AFO!

Australian Floorball Open 2010
May 19th to 22nd - Unanderra Hockey Stadium, Wollongong, NSW
Glebe FBC are the Australian Floorball Champions!!
7 games = 7 wins with 47-7 goal difference
During the group stages we had 3 easy wins and one tough one over Bondi. For the Quarterfinals we beat the WA team the Redbacks before taking on Newcastle in the Semis and getting payback for the semi final lost during the Elite Series. In the final we once again came across Story Bridge from QLD and once more we emerged victorious!
It was a great team effort by all the guys in the team, we had the best defence throughout the tournament which made it easier for our offence to succeed!
